Building Trust with Advocacy Communities

Patients and families are forced to live with the status quo suffering from unmet needs. They did not ask to be members of their community – the disease chose them. Most early-stage life science companies believe advocacy organizations will want what they are developing simply based on the merits of the science. Massnex knows it is much harder to gain support from advocacy communities because patient advocates are the mission charter holders for their disease and are not easily convinced.

Boston is the most important life science ecosystem in the world attracting the most talented scientists and researchers and yet only 13% of clinical trials succeed. One of the reasons why life science companies fail is because patients and families do not trust them, and for good reason, because most companies are commercial organizations that do not truly empathize with the community they serve.
